Buyer's Guide

01

Fiber vs CO₂

Fiber lasers are ideal for metal: welding, cutting and marking stainless, aluminium, copper and brass. They require minimal maintenance.

CO₂ lasers excel on non-metals: wood, acrylic, leather, fabric and glass — and can cut thinner metals too.

02

Choosing Power

Up to 60W — hobbyist engraving, thin wood/acrylic.
60–150W — small business engraving and cutting.
150–500W — serious fabrication, thick materials.
500W+ — industrial production cutting and welding.

03

Bed Size Matters

Match the bed to your typical workpiece. A 300×300mm bed suits jewellery and signage. 600×900mm covers most small workshop needs. Larger beds (1200mm+) are for production or sheet processing.

04

Safety First

Always use appropriate laser safety glasses for your wavelength. Enclosed machines are safer for unattended operation. Ensure adequate ventilation or install a fume extractor — especially with CO₂ and cutting applications.
